The innovative SMARTWELDSPARK ensures reliable and precise initial ignition of Thermit® portions and is therefore an alternative to igniters which are considered to be a hazardous substance.

SMARTWELDSPARK significantly increases operational safety through the use of acoustic and visual signals to indicate a successful ignition without the need for hot burning igniters. This robust and long-lasting product increases competitiveness due to the use of cost-efficient consumables. A special, high performance rechargeable battery provides reliable ignition for at least 20 ignition operations which ensures its suitability for use in the field.

SMARTWELD RECORD ensures intelligent monitoring and documentation of gas pressures during preheating as well as retraceability for THERMIT® welding.

The SMARTWELD RECORD records and documents the preheating parameters for THERMIT® welding via the GOLDSCHMIDT DIGITAL APP. The welder is given the specifi c individual steps for the welding in a user-friendly way and without errors. This ensures both optimum use of welding materials and that welding is performed to standard. Process parameters can be saved centrally and evaluated using the GOLDSCHMIDT DIGITAL APP. This means the SMARTWELD RECORD is a digital innovation, contributing towards documenting the high quality of the welding.

Thermit Smartweld Ace

ACCELERATED COOLING EQUIPMENT FOR THE ENHANCED COOLING OF ALUMINOTHERMIC WELDS

Through years of careful development Thermit Welding (GB) Ltd is proud to present the latest in weld cooling technologies. The SMARTWELD ACE is a purpose designed cooling unit used to minimise the time between casting a weld and when it is ready to grind.

AN EFFICIENT TIME SAVING METHOD – The SMARTWELD ACE is a purpose built battery powered water misting system, designed to be placed on top of an aluminothermic weld following the shearing of the weld. The unit has been built to deliver a pressurised water spray, via 3 x 0.35 mm mist spray nozzles, which provide optimum cooling without eff ecting weld integrity. This will mean that the unit is able to accelerate the overall cooling rate saving up to 15 minutes per weld. The SMARTWELD ACE can be purchased along with the Gull Wing Shear blades to increase the potential time saved per weld. The unit is designed for increased productivity during weld installation where time is restricted due to short possession times (such as on Metro lines). The Product has also received full Plant and Product approval for use on TFL infrastructure.
